Why a Dragonfly?

Dr. Winsby

In addition to my private practice, I also work 2 days a week on contract with the State of Delaware's  Child Development Watch which is an agency serving the needs of children, ages 0-3, (and their families) who have either a developmental delay or some established medical condition.  I supervise positive behavioral support plans with the State Department of Mental Retardation.  Finally, I provide psychological services for the Rehabilitation Unit of Milford Memorial Hospital which serves people recovering from trauma, heart attack, stroke, surgery, etc.

I formerly worked for the local branch of SOAR, Inc. (Survivors of Abuse in Recovery), so I am very familiar with issues of emotional neglect and various kinds of abuse.  In my 20's,  I worked for the State of Kansas with families on welfare, and then with children who had emotional disturbance and their families.  Later, I worked for Lutheran Social Services placing children with special needs into adoptive homes.
